Isaac Ramon Lewis, 31, of Elkins Park, was arrested on August 26 for brandishing an unlicensed firearm following a road rage incident in Cheltenham Township.

According to the criminal complaint, Cheltenham police were dispatched at approximately 4:14pm to the area of the Burlington Coat Factory at 2471 Cheltenham Avenue for a report of an armed suspect who had pointed a firearm at a caller. Lewis had reportedly fled the area in a grey Toyota sedan.

The caller told officers that she and a passenger were traveling along Shoppers Lane when they became involved in a road rage incident with another driver.

“As they approached the ramp by the ShopRite and Burlington Coat Factory, the male in which they had just had an incident with pulled next to them and pointed a firearm at her and her passenger,” the complaint said. “The male then stated ‘watch your mouth bitch'”.

Police located Lewis’s vehicle at his home on the 7000 block of Wagner Way and spoke with Lewis, during which he “was not cooperative and did not provide any information” regarding the road rage incident. He eventually told the officers that his firearm was still inside of his vehicle, at which point he was detained and positively identified by the caller.

Lewis’s charges include aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment of another person, terrorist threats, carrying a firearm without a license, and driving a vehicle while unlicensed.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
