Election campaign sign recycling drop-off points in our area

Plastic campaign signs and metal stands are not accepted as part of curbside recycling. One might wonder where all of the election signs and metal stands go after November 8.

Montgomery County announced 16 recycling sites designated this year to accept election signs. Accepted materials (paperboard/plastic yard signs and metal stands) can be dropped off during regular business hours from November 9 until November 15, the Montgomery County Recycling Office said.

Area residents can recycle signs at the interim locations instead of putting them in the trash. In our area, signs can be dropped off for recycling at:

– Abington Township Highway Yard, 2201 Florey Lane
– Cheltenham Township Public Works Facility, 8101 Old York Road
