ECAT students from Cheltenham, Jenkintown, Abington, Springfield, and Upper Moreland school districts bring home 38 medals from fall leadership conference

Students of the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (ECAT) in Willow Grove received 38 medals at the District 2 Leadership Conference, held November 13-15 at Kalahari Resorts in Pocono Manor.

ECAT students were awarded 19 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and six bronze medals. Approximately 250 students from six different career and technical centers from Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties attended the conference.

ECAT students from Cheltenham, Jenkintown, Abington, Springfield, and Upper Moreland school districts received the following awards:

Team Building

  • Bronze Medal: Vernon Piper from Culinary Arts/Cheltenham High School, Michael Lucas from Welding Technology/Hatboro-Horsham High School, Christian Melnick from HVAC/Hatboro-Horsham High School, and Cristiano Dasilva from Electrical Technology/Abington Senior High School.
  • Silver Medal: Logan White from Exercise Science and Rehabilitation/Springfield Township High School.
