Dr. Stephanie T. Childs, PhD, 78, of Wyncote, passed from this life to her eternal home on February 14, 2025.

Dr. Childs was an educator, pioneer, leader an author, a Scholer, a researcher and a speaker who worked for the Philadelphia School District for 35 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Wilhelmina (Goodman) Seamon.

Viewing from Bright Hope Baptist Church, 1601 N. 12 th St. Philadelphia on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 9:00-10:00 AM. AKA sorority service at 10:00 AM. Additional viewing from 10:30-11:00 AM. Dr. Childs’ Homegoing Service at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Dr. Darron D. McKinney, Sr., will officiate. Interment will follow in Chelten Hills Cemetery, 1701 East Washington St., Philadelphia.
