Dill Dinkers, a pickleball-centric franchise with nine locations along the mid-Atlantic cost, is nearing the final stages of a new facility at 330 S. Warminster Road in Hatboro.
The 47,000 sf indoor facility will house 19 courts along with an event space, a ball machine, pro shop, and an advanced reserve system for both members and visitors. Pickleball instructors will host clinics, private and semi-private lessons, round robin tournaments, and leagues.
The doors are expected to open by August. An initial announcement was made in January.
From Dill Dinkers’ Facebook post yesterday:
Say hello to the start of the Hatboro facility! Construction has been going well and progress is looking awesome!
We can’t wait to go live with you all!

Another facility at 1180 Church Road in Lansdale will have 11 courts. The company is planning to develop as many as 14 more facilities in Chester and Montgomery counties by 2030. Franchisee details can be found here.
“Especially in the areas that we’ve targeted initially, there just was not a lot of indoor pickleball offering,” Andrew Wakefield, regional developer, told the Inquirer in April. ”From our perspective, it just made sense. There was a big need in the market.”
Pickleball, which grew in popularity during the pandemic, is the fastest growing sport in the country as of 2022, according to the Sports and Fitness Industry Association.
“This sport is for everybody — whether you’re 18 and looking to make it a serious sport for yourself or whether you’re in your 40s, 50s, 60s and looking for a fun game to stay fit and active,” Wakefield said.
