Developer looking to construct four-story, 21-unit apartment building with office/retail spaces in Wyndmoor

The Springfield Township Planning Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, February 3 which will include a discussion of a Reverse Subdivision and Land Development Plan for a mixed-used building proposed at 1005, 1007, 1011, and a portion of 1043 Willow Grove Avenue in Wyndmoor/Glenside.

The applicant, J34 Development, LLC of Wyndmoor, is proposing the consolidation of the lots and the construction of a four-story building that will contain 21 apartment units, 2,500 sf of office space, and 2,510 sf of retail space.

The proposal includes the removal of the vacant barber shop (Gentlemen’s Preference), dry cleaner (Sevan Cleaners), dog training buildings (Suburban Dog Training Club), and an unimproved parcel.

According to the meeting’s agenda, the office and the retail spaces will be located on the first floor. 81 parking spaces, two separate onsite stormwater management basins, and additional landscaping are included in the proposal as well.

The proposal was approved by the Zoning Hearing Board in August 2025.
