The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Tuesday, August 5 in Eastern Pennsylvania due to smoke from Canadian wildfires.
According to their briefing, air quality may be unhealthy for sensitive groups (children, older adults, and those with heart or lung conditions).
According to ABC News, 741 wildfires are currently occurring in Canada, with 304 labeled “out of control”. For an interactive map of the fires, you can click here.
According to www.airnow.gov, greater Glenside’s current air quality is Moderate.
