Curtis Arboretum Receives 17 New Trees

On Saturday, November 13, volunteers from the Friends of Curtis Arboretum planted 15 trees donated by PECO, and one tree each from Burke Brothers Landscape Contractors, Inc., and Colibraro Landscaping, Inc.

Cheltenham Township’s Public Works Department pre-dug the holes and brought the trees to the arboretum, while volunteers ranging from high school students to senior members of the community placed the trees in the holes, backfilled them, mulched the trees, added deer fencing and watering bags.

The trees planted included Greenspire Linden, Princeton Elm, Sawtooth Oak, Bur Oak, Swamp White Oak, American Yellowwood, Chinese Fringetree, and American Beech.
