Coronavirus numbers for the August 20-25 in Montgomery County

Montgomery County reports that there were 41 new cases of Coronavirus reported on August 20th, 38 on August 21st, 58 on August 22nd, 40 on August 23rd, 41 on August 24th, and 36 on August 25th. That brings the countywide total since the start of the pandemic to 10,605.

Over that six-day period, two confirmed deaths due to Coronavirus were reported. The total number of confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic is now 826.

Since last week, the PCR Positivity rate has risen from 2.79% to 3.1%. Having this number below 5% is considered the virus being under control.

  • Jenkintown is at 34 cases, which is no change since August 19th. There have been no deaths, which is no change
  • Springfield is at 631 cases, which is five more than since August 19th. There have been 90 deaths, which is no change
  • Rockledge is at 20 cases, which is one more than since August 19th. There has been one death, which is no change
