Since August 3rd, Montgomery County has reported 39 new cases of Coronavirus on August 4th, 43 on August 5th, 33 on August 6th, and 31 on August 7th. This brings the total number of cases across the county since the start of the pandemic to 9,850.
Over this same period, the county has reported two confirmed deaths due to Coronavirus. The county-wide death toll since the start of the pandemic is now 822.
Hospitals in the county report that there are currently approximately 70 patients hospitalized due to Coronavirus. In recent weeks, this number has been in the 50s (so it’s up slightly). The number of patients requiring a ventilator is down to approximately eight or 12%.
As of July 31st, the 14-day positivity rate for county residents is 3.14.

- Springfield is at 610 cases, which is ten more than since August 3rd. There have been 90 deaths, which is no change
- Rockledge is at 19 cases, which is one more than since August 3rd. There has been one death, which is no change
