Jordan Harris, a student at Cheltenham High School, was recently featured by Rustic Spirit Spotlights for his leadership of the Cultural Proficiency and Equity Student Ambassador (CPESA) chapter for the past four years.

In this role, Jordan has advocated the collective opinions of the student body to the Cheltenham School District’s school board members.

The chapter’s presentation topics ranged from dress codes, low enrollment for scholars of color in Advanced Placement and Honors courses, to student interests among available courses.

The chapter additionally established a community town hall, now a CHS tradition, through which school demographics have the opportunity to voice feedback and solve problems with the superintendent, school principal, and school board members.

In related matters, Panther softball players Kendall Nelson and Sadie Leary have earned Suburban One Freedom Division All League Honors.

Nelson, sophomore outfielder, was named to SOL’s First Team and Leary, a senior first baseman, earned Honorable Mention.

The team was also recognized with the Sportsmanship Award.
