Press Release:
Cheltenham Township has revived its permit parking programs as stipulated in Township Code Chapter 285-40.
Residential permits for indicated local streets will run on a two-year cycle, starting with the calendar years 2026-27. The cost for the two-year permit is $25.
Commercial permits are intended for employees of merchants in the business districts and will require proof of that employment. They will be good for parking in one of the Township’s four municipal 12-hour lots where ParkMobile payment would otherwise be required (Bickley, Easton, Montgomery, and Church/Stahr). The cost for commercial permits is $250 annually, but will be $150 for 2026 since enforcement will start in July. (Applicants can select “Application Submitted June 1 – December 31” under “Parking Permit Fee” within the application for this discount to be honored, even if purchasing in May 2026.)
All parking permit applications (and future renewals) will be processed through OpenGov.
