Cheltenham Township to host public hearing for three Zoning Ordinance amendments

The Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to hear comment on three ordinances during their regularly scheduled public meeting on August 21 at 7:30pm.

The Board could vote to adopt the ordinances following the public hearing or at some future meeting, officials said.

The ordinances:

1) An Ordinance amending Chapter 295: Zoning, Section 2902, of the Cheltenham Township Code regarding enforcement remedies and civil penalties.

2) An Ordinance amending Chapter 295: Zoning, Article XV: MU3 Mixed Use Districts, to establish a Class 3 Special Exception and to provide standards for such Class 3 Special Exceptions.

3) An Ordinance amending Chapter 295: Zoning, Article IV: Use Regulations, Section 295-405.B. Commercial Uses, to revise the definition of veterinary clinic and Section 295-405.H. Utility Uses, to revise the definition of Conservation/Recreation Facility.

Public participation is available in person at Curtis Hall, via Zoom as well as via email sent to alupino@cheltenhampa.gov no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting.
