Cheltenham Township announced today that a proposal was received for a minor subdivision at Cheltenham Plaza (8200 Ogontz Avenue, Wyncote) on December 5.
According to the township’s Acknowledgement Letter, the proposal “involves the subdivision of the existing single commercial lot into two lots with no proposed commercial buildings, no increase in square footage or land development.”
Henry Sekawungu, Cheltenham Township’s director of zoning and planning, told Glenside Local that the subdivision is for the purpose of refinancing.
In March, the plaza saw the opening of a Charleys Cheesesteaks following the construction of a Sherwin-Williams and a downsized Dunkin’. An Aldi, HR Block and Fine Wine Good Spirits also exist within the plaza, among other businesses.

In related news, the township also shared initial review letters for a forthcoming Bank of America with a drive-thru on a 4,275 sf vacant lot at Cedarbrook Plaza, located at 1000 S Easton Road. A land development application was received in October.
