Cheltenham Township purchases former auto shop for Glenside Flood Control project

Cheltenham Township recently purchased 1 North Avenue in Wyncote, the former site of VP Auto Works Collision Repair.

According to Lauren Walter, Public Information Officer, the purchase was necessary for the Glenside Flood Control project which is currently in the works. More information about the project can be found here.

The property was previously owned by Carken, LLC, according to the township’s Resolution.

According to the property’s real estate listing, the 7,240 sf building sits on 0.62 acres and is estimated to cost $1,465,020. The township’s Resolution stipulates that the purchase price was not to exceed $340,000.00.
