Cheltenham Township Parks & Rec provides 2025 Summer Preview: New Glenside Gaming Lab, weeklong sports camps, programs and more

Cheltenham Township’s Director of Parks & Recreation gave a 2025 Summer Preview presentation at the May 14 Public Affairs Committee meeting.

The slideshow below provides information about programs and events taking place this summer. 

Highlights include:

  • Summer Kickoff Party at Renninger Park June 21, 5pm-dark, including a drone show
  • Summer Recess traditional camp at La Mott Community Center
  • New weeklong Sports camps at Glenside Hall and pool
  • New Puppetry camp in partnership with All Hallows Church
  • Fishing Derby May 31 at Kleinheinz Pond; Learn to Fish program led by Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership prior to event at 8am
  • Pickleball memberships, leagues, and lessons
  • Volleyball
  • New Glenside Gaming Lab in Glenside Hall – membership-based, hours to be determined
  • Concerts in the Park

In related news, the township’s pools will open Memorial Day weekend. Swim lessons will be offered for all ages and levels, including adults, and expanding to offer evening sessions.
