Cheltenham Township honors Kyle Dermer for putting out car fire on Church Road

The Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners honored Highway Superintendent Kyle Dermer with a Resolution at its regular meeting on June 21.

Dermer was commended for putting out a car fire in a Church Road driveway on June 12, 2023 after noticing smoke coming from the vehicle.

According to the Township’s Resolution, “He immediately pulled over to render aid to the residents, using their garden hose to put out the flames before the fire company arrived, thereby stopping the potential spread of fire to the home.”
