This project started in 2021 and is a community collaborative mapping project. Mapping MontCo. Black History is a project designed to give the public an online interactive platform to engage with local Black history. Each spot on this map is connected to people, organizations, and historic moments in our county’s history.

This is an ongoing project and we realize there are likely many stories that are not yet documented on this map. If you know a location that needs to be added to this map, please send an email to karenp@hsmcpa.org so it can be added!

  • May 9th – Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation
