Cheltenham Township has provided an update on Conklin Pool’s delayed opening.
From their announcement:
The delay in the opening of Conklin Pool is due to multiple mechanical issues that became evident in the final stretch of the process to open the pool. It is still unknown what is causing these issues, but we have technicians from several pool companies coming out Wednesday and throughout the rest of this week to continue efforts to identify the problem. In addition, parts needed for the filtration system are scheduled to arrive this week.
Due to the unknown source of these issues evident in water flow and pressure, we do not yet have an opening date set, but will provide that update as soon as possible. Refund policy has not yet been decided until we know a timeline for expected opening.
We understand the disappointment and frustration this has caused our pool members but assure you that every effort is being put into getting Conklin open for the season as soon as possible.
In the meantime:
– Members who planned to pick up their cards at Conklin will be able to pick them up at Glenside as of Wednesday, June 21. Please bring your ID for verification.
– Swim Team: Both teams are currently practicing at Glenside Pool.
– Swim Lessons: Lessons begin June 26, and will be moved to Glenside Pool if we are not able to open Conklin by that date.
– Flick ‘N’ Float scheduled for June 23 at Conklin has been postponed to a Friday date not yet set.
