Cheltenham Proposing Tax on Airbnb, Short-Term Rentals

Cheltenham Township has proposed an ordinance to clearly define what is a “dwelling”, “Family”, “Hotel”, “Vacation Rental”, and “Bed and Breakfast” among other things.

If you list your home on AirBNB or VRBO, you might want to show up for this, as the ordinance will target short-term rentals for the business privilege tax.

The hearing will be held at the regularly-scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners on April 17, 2019, 7:30 p.m., at Curtis Hall, 1250 West Church Road, Wyncote.
