Cheltenham police welcome five new officers

The Cheltenham Township Police Department welcomed five new officers during the Board of Commissioners legislative meeting on January 18.

Josefine Rivera, Zachery Koerper, Enoch Okezie, James Magee, and Joseph Casciato are Cheltenham police’s newest members.

Officer Casciato comes to the Township from Drexel University Police Department, Officer Rivera from Philadelphia Police Department, and Officer Magee from Virginia Beach Police Department. Officers Okezie & Koerper recently graduated from the Delaware County Community College Police Academy where Officer Koerper won the Delaware County Police Chief’s Award for Outstanding Cadet and the Academic Award for his class.

They were sworn in for the Cheltenham Township Police Department by the Honorable Christopher J. Cerski, Magisterial District Judge.
