Last night there was a sexual assault, and Cheltenham Township Police are looking for information to find the individual responsible for the attack.

On Monday, October 1, at around 7:30 pm a female victim was in compound number six at the Lynnwood Garden Apartments complex when she was approach from behind by an unknown male assailant. The man grabbed the victim and forced her into a secluded area behind the garage and sexually assaulted the victim, and then then ran away on foot.

Once the victim was certain the assailant left the area she fled the scene and called the police. The incident remains an active investigation and detectives are working to identify the person responsible.
