Cheltenham police/EMS now accepting donations for Operation Christmas Kids Toy Run

The Cheltenham Township Police Department and Cheltenham Township EMS are contributing this year to Plymouth Community Ambulance Association’s 15th Annual Operation Christmas Kids Toy Run.

The Toy Run’s goal is to fill an ambulance with toys for kids from Bryn Mawr Hospital and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Volunteers from EMS will participate in the toy run as they have in previous years.

Donations of unopened and unwrapped toys will be accepted from November 4 through December 6 at any of these locations at our 8230 Old York Road campus:

  • Township Building Lobby
  • EMS
  • Police Administration Building Lobby

The Toy Run event is on Saturday, December 7 from 9:30am-12:30pm. The procession leaves Plymouth Ambulance at 1:00pm. Toys will go to both hospitals, where and the cafeterias will be turned into a “toy store” for parents whose families are spending the holidays in the hospital. Any toys left over will be left with the hospitals to give out during the off season to kids who may be in the hospital for their birthdays.

This event draws from first responders across Montgomery County and collected nearly 7,000 toys for 2023’s event.
