The Cheltenham Police Department is looking for the public’s help in identifying a person who committed a robbery and stabbing that occurred yesterday, October 6th, 2021 at approximately 12:55pm.

The crime occurred at the Mr. Cigarette store at 409 W Cheltenham Ave. A 62 year-old female was stabbed twice during the robbery, and was taken by Cheltenham EMS to a local trauma center where she underwent emergency surgery for life threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition.

The perpetrator is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, thin build, with a pointy nose. He was last seen wearing ripped jeans, white sneakers, a white hooded sweatshirt and carrying a red backpack. He was wearing a black surgical mask and a fur-trimmed hat. Armed with a knife. he fled the scene northbound on foot between the businesses on Cheltenham Ave towards Valley Rd.
