Cheltenham PD, Camp Out for Hunger looking for food donations

The Cheltenham Township Police Department has teamed up with Montgomery County SWAT, East Region, to take part in 93.3 WMMR’s Preston & Steve’s annual Camp Out for Hunger program.

The department will be collecting food items in the lobby of the Elkins Park police station at 8230 Old York Road. Most needed items include peanut butter, canned/shelf-stable meats (including tuna), white milk, canned beef stew, canned chili, breakfast cereal or hot cereal, nuts/ trail mix, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, jelly, and canned fruits & vegetables.

The collection will end on November 7. Only non-perishable boxes, cans, plastic containers or non-breakable jars will be collected. To learn more about the Camp Out for Hunger program, you can click here.
