Cheltenham High School Performs “Once On This Island”

April 12th marks the opening night for Cheltenham High School’s spring musical, “Once On This Island” a revival of the Broadway show. This will be the 55th annual production of the Cheltenham Music Theater.

“Once On This Island”, stars freshman, Casey Simone as Ti Moune, a peasant girl on a segregated island who falls in love with Daniel Beauxhomme, played by sophomore Immanuel Rimmer, whom she rescues from a car crash. The captivating romance continues as Ti Moune is separated from her new love and begins a remarkable journey in search of the man that has captured her heart. Ti Moune is guided throughout, by the island’s four mighty gods, played by students, Sarah England, Matt Ryan, Maddie Coutts and Isaiah Hughston. The musical is a wonderful display of how the power of love can conquer just about anything.

The musical production runs from April 12-14, starting at 7:30 p.m at the High School’s Stretton Hall. Tickets can be purchased at the door. The age of 8 and older is recommended for this performance. For more info go to  cheltenhammusictheatre.org.
