Diane Uniman, a 1973 Cheltenham High School graduate, recently released her new book titled “Blessings Without Stressing”.
From the book’s description on Amazon.com:
Blessings Without Stressing! is a warm, funny, and welcoming guide to Jewish home celebrations—created especially for interfaith families, multi-faith households, and anyone who’s ever felt like a (gefilte) fish out of water at a Jewish holiday table.
Whether you’re partnered with someone Jewish and don’t know a kugel from a kangaroo, or you’re Jewish but your religious education stopped at Sunday morning bagels and a schmear, this book helps you participate with confidence, comfort, and joy. No Hebrew literacy required.
Carefully curated to avoid overwhelm, this easy-to-use book includes essential blessings and home ceremonies written in clear, reader-friendly phonetics—no Hebrew lettering involved. Helpful pronunciation tips explain sounds that don’t exist in English, while concise explanations let you focus on meaning rather than memorization. A streamlined contents page makes it simple to find exactly what you need for holidays and celebrations at home.

Uniman also published “Bonjour, Breast Cancer – I’m Still Smiling!: Wit, Wisdom, and Optimism for Beating the Breast Cancer Blues” in 2019. The book won numerous awards, including Independent Author Network Book of the Year Award for Outstanding Non-Fiction.
In addition to being a talented writer and lyricist, the Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania is a motivational speaker, life coach, poet, opera singer, and criminal justice appeals attorney.
