Cheltenham grad Netanyahu interviewed by MIT podcaster Lex Friedman, hospitalized for dehydration

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a 1967 Cheltenham High School graduate, was admitted to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel on Saturday, July 15 where he stayed overnight for dehydration amid a heat wave in the country.

“Yesterday, I spent time with my wife in the Sea of Galilee, in the sun, without a hat, without water. Not a good idea,” Netanyahu told CNN. “So first of all I want to thank all of you for your concern and also to the excellent teams here at Sheba who examined me.”

Temperatures in Israel have been reaching the low 90s for several days. As conditions in Glenside have been hot and humid as of late, Netanyahu’s advice applies to his former hometown as well as Israel:

“Thank God, I feel very well, but I have only one request from you: we are going through a heat wave in the country, so I ask you, be less in the sun and drink more water and let us all have a good week,” he said.
