Cheltenham grad leads MCCC men’s basketball to 4-0 start, #2 national ranking

Sean Emfinger, a 2020 graduate of Cheltenham High School and a member of the Montgomery County Community College men’s basketball team, scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in MCCC’s 73-64 victory over the Community College of Philadelphia this past Saturday.

Now 4-0 on the year, the Mustangs are currently ranked second in the nation in the National Junior College Athletic Association conference.

Emfinger is averaging 9.8 rebounds and 24.0 points per game on 48.4% shooting. You can check out the rest of his stats here.

Last year’s MCCC team finished with a 27-3 record under first-year head Coach Koran Prince and came in sixth place in the NJCAA Division III tournament in Herkimer, N.Y.
