Aubrey Fennell, a 1978 graduate of Cheltenham School District and an Elkins Park resident, is entering the race for Cheltenham Township’s Ward 3 commissioner through a write-in ballot.
“My family has been here for five generations, I’ve been here for 55 years, and I believe that our commissioners can do better,” Fennell said. “They don’t seem to address what people care about most, specifically, taxes and what’s going on in the schools.”
Fennell is the father of four girls and one boy, four of whom graduated from Cheltenham High School.
“I believe my experience puts me at an advantage. I grew in Cheltenham. I love this place. The police know me, the community knows me. I’m throwing my hat in the ring. I believe hate has no place here in Cheltenham Township,” Fennell said.
