Sharlandiin Strange, Cheltenham High School’s junior defensive end, has cut his college shopping list to five schools.
In no particular order, they are: Penn State, the University of Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, and the University of Southern California. Strange posted the news on his Instagram page on Thursday, January 11.

Strange, who has set a commitment date for January 27, says the Syracuse coaches “have been showing ‘much love.’ While he has not visited yet, he could between now and the announcement date,” SI said. The article continues:
The Cheltenham High standout is considered one of the best prospects in the country in the 2025 cycle. He is rated a four star prospect by ESPN, On3 and Rivals. He is ranked the 225th best prospect overall by On3 and 263rd best by ESPN. On3 ranks him 18th best at his position, Rivals slots him 20th while ESPN puts him 22nd. He is a consensus top 10 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania.
The 6’3″, 245-pound edge rusher finished the season with 42 total tackles, seven sacks, and three fumble recoveries according to stats listed on Cheltenham High’s MaxPreps page.
Strange has had offers from Akron, Boston College, Buffalo, Charlotte, Colorado, UConn, Illinois, James Madison, Maryland, Nebraska, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Toledo, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
