Center School in Abington receives ‘significant donation’ from local foundation

Center School, an Abington-based elementary school for children with language-based learning differences, announced that it has received a “significant donation” from BLBB Charitable, a philanthropic foundation based in Montgomeryville.

The exact amount of the donation was not announced.

“This generous contribution officially launches Center School’s fundraising efforts to raise $100,000 so it can build a state-of-the-art innovation lab at its Abington campus,” the school said in a statement. Through this generous donation, BLBB Charitable has expressed its commitment to The Center
School Innovation Lab.”

The statement noted that the donation will also contribute to the school’s “ability to foster creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on learning among its students.”

“We are incredibly grateful for BLBB Charitable’s generosity and continuous support. This donation
will significantly impact our fundraising efforts to build a new lab for Center School students.
Ultimately, this donation will help cultivate an environment where students can explore, experiment,
and collaborate on various projects and ideas, preparing them with 21st-century skills,” said Mrs.
Mindy Wawrzyniak, Head of School, Center School.
