The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced this morning that a Cedarbrook Middle School student reported a text message received from an unnamed individual who said they will commit a school shooting at the school at 10:00am.

School staff issued a lockdown and police secured the school for the remainder of the school day. No injuries were reported, police said.

Detectives are investigating the origin of the threat, police said.
