Cedar Street in Jenkintown will be closed to non-local residents from August 27 to September 16 for a storm sewer improvement project.

Work will take place weekdays from 7:00am to 5:00 pm. Emergency work may take place on the weekend or at later times, officials said.

Parking will not be allowed from 106 Cedar Street to 105 Cedar Street during the course of the project so that crews can safely operate excavation equipment and complete the job without delays.

“We understand that this may be a short-term inconvenience, and we hope to work together with you in a professional and amicable manner for the long-term improvement of your neighborhood,” project manager Dewey Jurich of Jurich Inc. said. “Every effort will be made to make sure you have access to your driveway at the end of each day.”
