Carminati Creamery celebrated its fifth year of business in Glenside on September 1, and a second location in Jenkintown is right around the corner.

“It’s definitely gone quicker than we thought. Our customers are amazing,” gelato chef Darin Carminati said.

The creamery’s co-owners, Darin and his wife, Amy, took the week off to celebrate the milestone and take a breather before their Jenkintown shop opens its doors. Its grand opening at 740 Yorkway Place is expected sometime in October or November.

“We can’t wait for the second spot in Jenkintown. We get asked 10-15 times a day when it’s going to happen. It’s really to hear that so many people are excited,” Darin said.
