The Carabba’s Italian Grill at 2575 Maryland Road in Willow Grove has permanently closed according to an automated message provided by the branch’s phone number. The restaurant’s website is still active.
Bloomin’ Brands, which owns Carrabba’s, Outback Steakhouse, and Bonefish Grill, closed dozens of its locations in 2024 and 2025, according to various reports. The company said the closures were due to a variety of factors, including sales, decreased customer traffic and “financial investments that were too costly to improve the locations”, CNN reported in 2024.
According to Upper Moreland Township’s February 12 zoning hearing board agenda, Texas Roadhouse Holdings, LLC asked for a variance at the Carabba’s site and “proposes to remove the existing building and construct a new building along with other site improvements.”
Glenside Local reached out to township officials on February 13 to inquire about the proposal and the status of Carabba’s. We have not received a response but will be in touch with updates as they become available.
More to come.
