Capricorn Books of Jenkintown is hosting their first-ever “Find Waldo Local Search” for the month of July.
According to their post, the month-long event is part of a nationwide co-sponsorship on behalf of Candlewick Press and the American Booksellers Association.
Owner Jackie Botto noted her bookstore’s relocation to at 745 Yorkway Place after the July 4th weekend.
“This year the great Waldo search coincides with our move, so until we reopen at Yorkway Place you can pick up your passports outside of our shop OR at The Jenkintown Library to begin your quest!” her post said.
To join the search, players are asked to spot a “mini-Waldo” at any of the local businesses listed below. Players then collect a stamp or signature at the front counter, Botto said. Once 10 stamps have been collected, players bring their cards to Capricorn Books to receive a Waldo sticker and $1 off coupon (first 125 spotters only).
15 or more stamps enters players in a drawing to win a deluxe Waldo prize pack as well as local prizes such as gift cards and movie passes.
A “Waldo Celebration” will take place on July 31 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at Capricorn Books’ new location.
