Judging only by the voting, we don’t like to exercise as much as we like to eat, but that comes as little surprise. In the Best Kids Fitness, you kept your votes local, giving the win to the Glenside Youth Athletic Club, but gave the victory in the Best Personal Training and Best Fitness Classes to Lifetime Fitness in Fort Washington. Nevertheless, LA Fitness in Switchville sweated out a victory for Best Sports/Fitness Club.

Dana Hot Yoga stretched their championship ways into a second year with Best Yoga Studio and Kaplan Family Chiropractic cracked the top spot for Best Chiropractor. The Won Institute won first place honors this year in a very tight race for Best Acupuncturist decided by only two votes. And Dynamic Modern Dentistry filled in the top spot for Best Dentist.

Abington Family Medicine of Jenkintown kept a healthy lead throughout the voting this year and claimed a clean bill of victory for Best Doctor, while Drs. Weidig And Breunig Optometrists saw their way to winning Best Eye Doctor.

For those of us who just like to play around, you gave Alverthorpe Park Best Playground.

Helpers/Fixers

Fitzgerald’s Tire & Auto Services lifted their business into Best Mechanic, Frank’s Electric zapped his challengers for Best Electricians, and Vintage Renovations built up a following that cast them into Best General Contractor. Ian Fowle nailed himself into Best Handyman, Delbar Heating And Air Conditioning stayed chill as they won for Best HVAC, and the Duffy Brothers mowed down their rivals for Best Landscaper.

Lauro Painting brushed aside all comers for Best Painter, Rock Roofing stay on top for Best Roofer, and Anthony S. Famularo Plumbing & Heating flowed right past the opposition for Best Plumber.

Pets

Glenside voters like to get their pups cleaned at Oh So Pretty, and they like it when Lori Stidham, Angel Pet Sitting walks them.

Miscellaneous

This new category sought to answer a question: When you have out-of-town guests, where do you bring them to show why you love living here? Your answer? Keswick Village.
