The defunct Hilton Garden Inn at 530 Pennsylvania Avenue Fort Washington has reopened, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. The six-story, newly-renovated hotel opened for business in March.
Baywood, a Maryland hospitality company, purchased the property for $11.05 million in early December, property records show.
The Hilton Garden Inn had been closed for over two years following severe hurricane damage.
“Coming (back) soon! The Hilton Garden Inn, Ft. Washington will be re-opening late 1st. quarter!” Teri Tarshus, the company’s regional manager of operations, said in a LinkedIn post. “Baywood Hotels | Hotel Management & Development is very excited to share our renovations with the community and turn the page for HGI Ft. Washington’s next chapter.”
The post also noted that the company is hiring a general manager.
According to its website, the Hilton Garden Inn includes an indoor pool, a fitness center, meeting rooms and an on-site restaurant, the Garden Grille & Bar, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
