Dr. Jeff Rutenbeck served as Arcadia University’s provost and senior vice president for academic affairs from 2019 until his retirement this summer.
During his tenure in Glenside/Wyncote, he oversaw all aspects of academic and student affairs, including the College of Global Studies, the Division of Student Success, the Office of Access, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Landman Library, the Center for Teaching Learning and Mentoring, the Center for Antiracist Scholarship, Advocacy and Action, student health services, counseling services, public safety, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and the Office of Civic and Global Engagement.

Arcadia University seeks a seasoned academic leader and scholar to serve as the next Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the president, the provost is the University’s chief academic officer and leader of its academic enterprise, who possesses a broad academic vision, a strong background in scholarship and teaching, and a commitment to undergraduate, graduate, online, and global education. Serving as a trusted and highly collaborative member of the president’s cabinet, the provost works in close collaboration with the president, Board of Trustees, vice presidents, deans, faculty, and staff to advance Arcadia’s academic mission.
The compensation range for this position is $241,000 – 325,000 with a generous benefits package. More details here.
