Arcadia women’s ice hockey captures first MAC title in program’s third season

The Arcadia University women’s ice hockey team is sharing a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Title after defeating King’s College 4-1 on Wednesday, February 7 at the Hatfield Ice Arena.

The championship is the program’s first in only its third season of existence.

The Knights are now 13-7 on the year, and finished the MAC slate with a 7-1 record, tying Alvernia for the conference crown. Arcadia defeated the Golden Wolves 3-0 in the teams’ first meeting and fell 1-0 in the next meeting. 


Ariel Williamson, Karahkwenhawe White, Abbi Komrofske and Morganne Dee all found themselves on the scoresheet in the win against King’s.

Komrofske and White also added assists to lead the team with two points. Hannah Bergeron picked up her eighth win of the season in goal for Arcadia, making 20 saves. Her eight wins are a new career high.

The team is coached by Kelsey Koelzer, a Hatboro-Horsham grad and a decorated player in both the Ivy League and professional ranks. For more details and stats about the team, you can click here.
