Arcadia University students participating in Organ Donor Challenge for the second year

Arcadia University’s student-run Public Relations firm, 1853 Communications, is participating in the Gift of Life College Challenge for the second time.

The challenge is designed to engage college students in the process of registering new organ donors and spreading the word about the crucial need for organ and tissue donation.

1853 Communications took second place in 2021.

This semester, 1853 Communications is launching a campaign on Arcadia’s campus to increase the amount of organ donors registered and raise awareness of the importance of organ donation. The campaign, “Food for Thought: U-Knight to Save Lives”, involves weekly donor drives that include free food and important information about organ donation.

The campaign will culminate in a large special event on Arcadia’s Haber Green on April 9, from 4 to 5:00pm.

Winners of the Gift of Life College Challenge will be announced on May 14 on Donate Life’s social platforms.
