Arcadia University announced Thursday, their 22nd President will be the well recognized, Dr. Ajay Nair. Dr. Nair, a renowned scholar and an accomplished leader in student affairs, social justice, ethnicity and race, will assume the presidential role at Arcadia University in April of 2018.

Dr. Nair is excited about his new endeavor in Glenside, a half hour away from his hometown, Broomall, PA.  Nair will step down from Vice President and Dean of Campus Life, at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Arcadia, a university that has had a high turnover of board members and leadership over the years, is confident in Dr. Nair embracing the challenge of taking Arcadia to a new level. His resume’ speaks for itself. Prior to Emory, Dr. Nair held the positions of Senior Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Columbia University, Assistant Dean at University of Virginia and a faculty member of Pennsylvania State University.

In addition, Dr. Nair has many other accomplishments and experience. He has served on a large range of universities and civic boards, he has published articles on transforming and reimagining universities and he is currently working on a book that highlights multiculturalism in higher education. As a proven leader and scholar, Arcadia is looking forward to the path Dr. Ajay Nair will pave for the liberal arts university.
