Arcadia to host Doctor of Physical Therapy commencement ceremony on Sept 29

Arcadia University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Commencement for the Class of 2024 will take place on Sunday, September 29 at 11:00am in the Kuch Recreation and Athletic Center.

More than 100 graduates will be joined by faculty, staff, family and friends for the ceremony.

Richard K. Shields, PT, Ph.D., FAPTA, professor and chair of the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences within the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa, will give the commencement address. Dr. Shields developed the Physical Therapist Graduation Questionnaire (PT-GQ) and PT-GQ National Benchmarks to improve the quality of physical therapist education nationwide. 

Philip McClure, PT, Ph.D., FAPTA, professor and chair of Physical Therapy at Arcadia, will present awards to several graduates.

Arcadia’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program is the top DPT program in the Philadelphia area, according to the 2024 U.S. News and World Report rankings.
