Arcadia men’s basketball off to 4-0 start, Jalen Watkins feat. by City of Basketball Love

Arcadia University’s men’s basketball team is off to a 4-0 start, in part through the standout play of graduate student Jalen Watkins.

Watkins recently earned a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Athlete of the Week Award for the second consecutive week. His accomplishments were featured in an article by City of Basketball Love.

The article notes that Watkins, now in his fifth year at Arcadia, took advantage of an opportunity to continue playing for the Knights. The 6-foot-6 forward was named the 2022-23 MAC Freedom Player of the Year, has become a 1,000-point scorer and could grab his 1,000th rebound by the end of this season.

“I’m not a super-huge big, but what separates me is my motor and my intensity. No matter the size or the weight of whoever I’m going up against, I’m never not going to give it my all. That’s something I’ve been playing with since I was in, probably eighth grade,” he said.
