Aqua Pennsylvania Emergency Water Use Reduction

Aqua Water company has announced on their website they have had to shut down their Pickering East and West water treatment plants due to heavy rainfall, flooding and loss of power caused by last night’s storm

Aqua is asking residents to suspend all nonessential water use until they notify you that they’ve restored adequate water supply.

In order to increase water supply to the Pickering service area, Aqua is making adjustments in other parts of their southeastern Pennsylvania water system, but it will be some time to reach the levels of water volume normally produced at this plant. Some customers might experience discolored water as they redirect water throughout their distribution system to sustain capacity.

No specific information has been given as to what areas are affected.

Be aware the Aqua toll-free customer service number is currently out of service due to flood-related issues experienced by their phone vendor.
