Ace Hardware at Roslyn Village Commons in Abington expected to open spring 2026, will feature ‘experiential store format’

The forthcoming Ace Hardware at the former Rite Aid space at Roslyn Village Commons (1321-1351 Easton Road) in Abington Township anticipates an opening in early spring 2026, according to an article by hbsdealer.com.

Construction, merchandising, staffing and operational planning are expected to begin in the coming weeks. The new store will have an “ELEVATE3 Ace experiential store format” and will serve do-it-yourself customers and professional tradespeople, the company said.

“ELEVATE³ Ace is experiential retail wrapped in the servant-hearted humanity that’s made Ace famous,” said John Venhuizen, President and CEO of Ace Hardware. “These stores let customers see, touch and try the best of Ace, while staying true to our mission of serving neighbors. A year in, they’re driving strong growth for our retailers and making Ace an even more valuable part of the communities we serve.”

The store will also feature commercial account management, B2B purchasing programs, product sourcing and stock management services, key cutting and programming, knife sharpening, window screen repair, product assembly, and home and jobsite delivery, the company said.

“We are excited to bring Costello’s Ace Hardware to the Abington and Roslyn communities,” said Jaime Maloney, President of Costello’s Ace Hardware. “This new store will deliver a first class shopping experience supported by top brands, expert service, and the values that have guided our family business for nearly fifty years. We look forward to earning trust in the community.”

Vice president Jake Doyle of Equity CRE (which manages the Roslyn Village Commons shopping center) told Glenside Local that the deal was signed in November.
