Abington’s lead exposure rates a cause for concern

2014 was the year that put Flint, Michigan on the map, if not for all the wrong reasons. Eight years later, Abington Township’s lead exposure rates may be on par with the average in Flint, according to an article in Today Pennsylvania.

Montgomery County has the sixth-highest rate of any county in Pennsylvania. The areas most affected are Pottstown, Lansdale and Abington, said Tori McQueen, Montgomery County’s Community Environmental Health Coordinator in Norristown.

Today Pennsylvania has extensive coverage of the issue. You can find the article here.
