Abington’s Basketball Star Eric Dixon Soon To Announce College Commitment

In a little over a week, Abington High School’s basketball star, Eric Dixon will announce his college of choice as to where he will continue his basketball career. Dixon, class of 2019, has narrowed his selection down to four schools, Villanova, Seton Hall, Virginia and Louisville.

On April 5th, Rick O’Brien, sports writer and columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, tweeted:

“2019 Abington F Eric Dixon will announce his college destination on April 17. His finalists include Villanova, Virginia, Seton Hall, and Louisville.”

Many are anxious to hear what the left-handed, power forward will decide.  VUHoops.com’s Chris Lane commented “The 6’7” Dixon is ranked #114 in the 247 Composite and rated 4-stars. He’s a highly skilled prospect that can play both inside and out, but he’ll likely need some time to refine his body if he’s to reach his full potential. With Eric Paschall set to leave the program following next season, landing Dixon before the first April Live Period would be a great start to the 2019 class.”

Other offers Eric Dixon received that are no longer in the mix were from Georgetown, University of Miami, Penn State, Drexel University, University of Pittsburgh, Saint Joseph’s University, Oklahoma State University and Rutgers.
