The Abington Township Board of Commissioners is seeking interested members of the public to serve on the Township’s newly created Economic Development Corporation. The independent non-profit agency is intended to revitalize main streets, attract new employers, and support existing small businesses.
Potential applicants must be of full age and a Township resident, property owner, and/or conduct business in the Township. Members are expected to be available, at minimum, for quarterly meetings of the Corporation.
Information regarding the Corporation, including Ordinance No. 2208, creating the Economic Development Corporation, the Articles of Corporation, and the Bylaws governing the Corporation are available for review at www.abingtonpa.gov/edc. Applicants can apply online at www.abingtonpa.gov/EDCBoard. A letter of interest and resume must be uploaded with the online submission. Applicants can also submit a letter of interest, resume, and volunteer form to Theresa Castorina at tcastorina@abingtonpa.gov or by mail to 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA, 19001 to the attention of Theresa Castorina. Volunteer forms can be picked up at the Township Administration Building located at 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA,19001 by calling 267-536-1003.
